On Saturday December 9, 2023, Teamsters Local 231, hosted our annual Holiday General Membership Meeting. This year’s meeting was one to remember! Thanks to you, our Union Members, we were able to fill FIVE boxes with toy donations for Toys-for-Tots. The membership made record breaking raffle ticket sales, with half of the proceeds going to one lucky Union member and the other half going to the Bellingham Food Bank and Helping Hands of Skagit County. The one lucky winner of half the proceeds was one of our long time Waste Management members and Shop Steward, Bob, who has been a Teamster member since 2014. With all the tickets sold we were able to give away over 60 prizes to our membership. This is an event that the staff at Local 231 look forward to hosting every year, and this year was no different, so thank you to the membership for your solidarity throughout the year and spending your Saturday afternoon celebrating with us!
