Congratulations to Rich Ewing on his retirement from over 15 years of work and dedication to Teamsters Local 231. Rich is a second generation Teamster as his father was a proud member of Local 231 working in the freight and moving & storage industries.  In 1991, Rich started his Teamster career at Yellow Freight. While working at Yellow Freight, he served many years as shop steward and was a Trustee on the Local 231 Executive Board prior to becoming a Business Representative in 2010. In September 2012, Rich became Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 231. He also served on the Washington Teamsters Welfare Trust as a Trustee and was the Chairperson of the Appeals Committee. Rich continues to serve as a Trustee for the Retiree's Welfare trust. He also served on the Joint Council 28 Executive Board and was the Joint Council 28 Freight Division Chair and Union Co-chair for the Teamsters' and Employers' Board of Adjustment. On December 31, 2025, Rich retired from Teamsters Local 231. We wish him all the best in his well earned retirement and thank him for his 15 years of dedication to the Teamsters.
